Before you get started in order to apply for a CARB EO# (sticker) for your Injen air intake system, the kit must be complete and in the original condition. Therefore it must contain an original Injen filter. If you do not have an original Injen filter, one may be purchased from www.injenonline.com.
To obtain a new or replacement CARB E.O. number, please CLICK HERE to search our (CARB application Search Page) and make sure your vehicle is CARB exempt. Then email CARB@injen.com and submit the following information:
- Name and mailing address
- Year, make and models of vehicle
- Injen Intake part#
- A clear photo of the Injen intake installed in the vehicle.
- A clear photo of the V.I.N. number on the driver’s side door jamb
Please refrain from calling Injen for CARB updates due to an overwhelming amount of phone calls received on a daily basis. Please allow 6-8 working days for your request to be processed. If a CARB decal is not received within 10-12 days, please email CARB@injen.com for an CARB request update.

Injen intake systems are street legal in most states unless the state is adopting to California Emissions standards. States that have adopted California emission standards include: Arizona, California, Connecticut, District of Columbia, Maine, Maryland, Massachusetts, New Jersey, New Mexico, New York, Oregon, Pennsylvania, Rhode Island, Vermont, and Washington. These states will require an California Air Resource Board Executive Order Number (CARB E.O.) for the legal use of an Injen intake system in your vehicle for use on public roads or highways. Note to all Toyota,, Lexus and Scion owners:
Most Toyotas, Lexus Scion vehicles 2005 model year and newer are not CARB Exempt due to the removal of the stock air box assembly which contains a Hydrocarbon filter element. Once the stock air box is removed, it would be in violation of the California Emissions standard and will not be CARB exempt. These vehicle will be considered "Legal in California only for racing vehicles competition use only, which may never be used upon a public street or highway." Please keep your factory air box assembly for any future use.
